Broadly speaking, I research inequality, discrimination, and prejudice across health and medical contexts. I investigate how the intersection of individual’s marginalized identities— including gender, race/ ethnicity, and socioeconomic status—inform individual's experiences and perceptions in regard to various physical and psychological health outcomes across different sociopolitical contexts. My research program strives to disrupt inequality, empower others, and to promote respect within systems of health to improve the psychological and physical well- being of marginalized groups.
